Thanks mom for giving me carrot Wagon Wheels, they look good!
Hmmm....they taste good too! Let me get a closer look...
I better have another taste....Yummmm!!!

What a fun day today! It was up and out early this morning to meet our friends Wendy, Suzy and her daughters Lauren and Kendell for a trip to Birch Run! We shopped till we dropped, or napped in Hunter's case! Then it was home to hurry and have dinner before going to see Papa and Grandma Smith. Hunter had a great time showing off all of the new things he does, mostly his new laugh :) we think he actually might have done his first real "sign". They have a dog statue that Hunter kept going toward, so I would say dog and sign like I normally do with real dogs or pictures, but one time he patted his leg (the sign for dog) and looked up at me, he wouldn't do it again, so it may be a coincidence, or he may be learning...I will keep you posted! Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I wanted to show you the stages of my new smile! Stage 1: Funny Grin
Stage 2: Funny noise combined with squinting and funny grin
Stage 3: Very funny noise combined with almost closed eyes, stretched neck and silly grin!

Our friend Kathy will be happy that I posted multiple pictures! I am excited I could document this new laugh, I just wish I could capture that tooth! I wanted to give you the progress on the tooth brushing....Hunter still loves it!!! Today he was so relaxed that he put his head in my neck and let me brush his gums forever, he was actually mad when I quit :) Hunter had a great day with his Dad, I'm sure he got to do lots of things that Mom doesn't let him do :-) Then when Mom came home we went to say goodbye to our friends Amy and baby Paige, and do lots of errands! Hunter had lots of admirers at the store, people making faces, weird noises, and he refused to smile, little stinker! They still went on and on about how he keeps his sunglasses on his head, it is pretty cute. Well, short and sweet tonight, Happy Friday tomorrow!

Feeling Pouty. We had a busy day today, an early morning, a big nap together then errands, errands, errands. Enough to make anyone feel pouty. Then it was home to play! Hunter is laughing up a storm, he is laughing at everything, he even has a new laugh with a funny noise and his eyes closed, it's silly! Well, not much to say today, but Hunter is looking forward to a fun day with Dad tomorrow while I go to work. Amy and baby Paige are packing up to head to Australia, we wish them safe travels and we will miss them greatly!!! Hunter will benefit though, from some 1:1 time with Dad! Take care, we will talk to you tomorrow.

Grandma is getting better at taking my picture, look she only cut off one of my arms!!! Just kidding, we give Grandma a hard time about her photo skills, but she sure is great at playing with me all day! Today I kept her laughing, and I forgot to tell you about the other day when I was laughing so hard I snorted which officially makes me part of the family!!! I also received my fourth haircut today!

My arms are spread wide so you can see the shirt Aunt Lori bought me, a true sentiment "I have decided to put myself in charge". Mom needs to talk now... It has been such an incredible journey thus far having Hunter be the center of my world, I can really see how people can get swept up in it! Wendy, you said it, it helps keep things in perspective. I can be so upset about something ridiculous when Hunter will do something silly, and we both will end up laughing, or he will do something for the first time, or he will do something where you can almost see how his brain is working. It brings me back to what is important....to me! The past nine months have been like receiving a gift! For me that was a baby, for you it may be a new job, a new relationship, a new opportunity, whatever it may be, I hope that you all find it! I may have had it for nine months, and it may fade like most things do, but I am going to try my hardest to keep enjoying every phase and not let it go! Love you all, thank you for being loving and supportive friends and family!!!

My first tooth brush! Mom & Dad were worried about trying it before I went to bed, they didn't want to get me worked up. I fooled them, I loved it!

It must have felt good on his gums, because he kept biting down, leaning for it when we pulled it out, and drooling all over. It was fun! We had a quiet day today, we put away some toys that Hunter has outgrown along with clothes, and played with new things. Hunter had another first this morning. He woke up 1 hour 1/2 into his nap, I let him fuss and talk after about 20 minutes I knew he wasn't going back to sleep so I went in to get him, to find him, pulled up looking at me laughing! He has never gotten from his back to a pulling up position, so I don't know how he did it, but he did. Good thing Dad lowered the crib this weekend! That's it for us today, hope all is well with you, take care!

I'm sure you were wondering where we went. Well, we're back, and we were just crazy busy!!! Let's start with Friday, Mom hurried to get all the rest of her shirts bedazzled, 85 total! Then it was off to Aunt Lori's & Uncle Scott's as our cousin Nikki and her family were here from Florida. We had so much fun, and Hunter's cousins, Ally, Kimmy and Joey gave him TOW MATER that he has in the picture, he loves it!!!
Hunter's cousins, Joey and Vinny, were playing cars up on the fireplace mantel...so Hunter crawled over to join them, that was the first time he has tried to join in! Ally was trying to get him to turn around and smile for the camera, but he was busy!
The kids showed Hunter how to play the drum, he banged and banged his hands, he may have loved it....but there is NO drum set in our future!!!
Then it was on to Saturday morning, when the fruits of all of our bedazzling were supposed to help our fundraising. Well, we may be smiling in the picture but we weren't very happy. There was no traffic at the event and out of all those shirts we only sold 4 :(
You may have wondered during our event where Hunter was, well he was asleep the entire time in the back of my Jeep! People would walk by going to there vehicles and stop and stare.
It was so adorable I had to give you a closer look!!!

I do not have pictures from the rest of the day, because it was crazy!!! First, we left the event and went to a BBQ at our friends Marianne & Michelle's house, the weather was nice, the company was nice, and the food was great! We were excited because one of the BBQ guest bought 6 of our shirts, it made our day! Then it was home to get Hunter cleaned up and packed, then it was back in the car for our cousin Matthew's Graduation party. That was fun to because we got to see a lot of family! Next, we met up with Grandpa & Grandma so they could watch Hunter overnight to give Mom & Dad a night out with our cousins Nikki & Steve and lots of Dave's old friends, most of which we haven't see in years. Hunter had a great time of course, G & G even bought him a new walker, and Grandpa made him a fort in the living room. We went to the bar, had a great time, saw a surprise cousin, and thanks to Dave the D.D. I was able to drink way too much!

Sunday, a little rough, I met up with G & G at Stoney Creek Park to get Hunter and train for our walk. Here Grandma is with Mom as we were smiling only because we were done walking. Grandpa is the one who should really not be smiling as he carried Hunter in the backpack halfway and the other half he pushed him in the stroller! We walked 13 miles!!! My feet will never forgive me!

So, that is the synopsis and we apologize for being MIA. We hope you had a wonderful weekend, and we are back to our normal postings, so have a great week and we will talk to you tomorrow!

Hunter and Paige having a ball! It doesn't look like Hunter is playing very nice, he didn't open the door for Paige, and below it looks like he is going after her feet again. I wasn't even out the door this
morning and he
was already pulling her hair. Not the manners we are trying to teach him :-( Hunter did behave better today, except for sitting on Paige and using her to push off. He doesn't quite have his crawling etiquette down :-)
An Ode to the Hillbilly I love....Dave has been SO happy the past two days as our neighbors that he doesn't quite get along with are moving. Tonight, he was so entertained that I had to catch it on film, go figure! So, as you can see from the picture their is junk piled everywhere across the street, what you can't see is the man in the suit and tie going through it, which was followed by people on bicycles, people blocking the road, people putting futons on the roof of their cars, and the neighbors standing in their yards watching, or joining in on the garbage picking. I admit the hillbilly has rubbed off on me a little and for a few minutes I guaked at the garbage traffic. Dave referred to this experience as..."Better than Sanford and Sons" thought you would get a kick out of my hillbilly's nosiness!

On a more productive note, Hunter tried watermelon tonight (which was so cute) then about 2 hours later he got a crazy rash, we will have to wait and see if the watermelon was the culprit. I have bedazzled 20 more shirts!!! Hope all is well with you!

Hunter got his first real bath from Dad!!!

I have been so busy today that I couldn't take any pictures or give Hunter his bath. Busy doing what you ask? Bedazzling! 80's flashback! We have a Breast Cancer fundraiser this weekend, and I am bedazzling pink ribbons on tshirts, I made 30 just today. Good thing Hunter is a boy, or I would be bedazzling onesies, socks, shirts, etc :-)

Hunter learned to high five this morning. It is cute I put my hand up and he reaches for my hand. We got it on video, because sometimes he won't recreate things like this, but he did it for Dad tonight. We tried to get a picture, but apparently he didn't feel like doing it anymore. I saw his tooth a few times today, but still unable to capture it on film. It seems so funny to see a little bumby white thing, when all we are use to is gums. Hunter is sad tonight, because he is going to Amy and baby Paige's for the last time tomorrow, for a month. They are going to Australia! Their blog is updated with adorable pictures of our friends!

We hope your week is going wonderfully, the weekend is almost here!!!

Guess who has a tooth, and on their 9 month birthday?

The strange thing is that I didn't know he was getting it or that he had it. For months now, everyone has said he was teething...due to the drooling, and chomping on everything he could get his mouth around. Then today, Grandma calls me while I'm at work (conspiracy theory) and says Hunter got a tooth. I am guessing it broke through around 6:30 last night. Because, Hunter cried for about three minutes for what appeared to be no reason, but then he went to bed and slept 11 1/2 hours without waking up once. What a trooper! Sure enough, I got home and felt it...it feels like a razor. I apologize for not having a picture, but let me tell you he won't open up so we can see it, you have to trick him which I was only able to successfully do once, it's so cute!!!

Other than that excitement, Hunter had a great day baking with Grandma (don't tell Dad) and he learned "How big is Hunter?"......."so big" which he on several occasions responds but putting his arms up. Lucky Grandma, lately she has witnessed all the new firsts! Hope all is well with you!

I can get around on my gator by myself now!!! I even dance to the gator song "...there's lots to do, so I'll catch you later, time to get to work on my John Deere Gator"

It is really funny, he sits and waves his arms up and down, and rocks when the song is playing! Well, it doesn't take the gator now for Hunter to be getting around, let me tell you he is into everything! I am not one of those mom's who is like, "I can't wait till he crawls, walks, etc." and now I am hoping he never starts walking. Today, he learned to get up the step from our living room to our dining room. I would put him back down and across the room with his toys, he would crawl back, go over to the step, look up at me and growl in frustration, then get right back up that step. I can't even believe the things he can do now. So, I put him down for a nap, and frantically began cleaning, I even did the crawl test, thank God there isn't a hidden video in our house, I'm sure I looked hilarious crawling under the table, and around the room :-) Hunter had another first today, strawberries. He loved them, it is actually the first food he has had that I know he loved because he laughed, smiled, and lunged forward to get more.

Erin Happy (day late) Birthday!!! I have to apologize because I was going to post Happy Birthday yesterday, but I was so mad at the computer last night I got distracted, so hope you had a wonderful Birthday Erin, (aka Suzie lightening) can't wait to see you at Wheatland!!

We hope you all have a wonderful week!!!

Dad's first Father's Day!!! Don't they look cute in their coordinating outfits!!! I even caught Hunter waving and with his right hand. He actually waves with both, interesting. I'm sorry for a late posting, I have been messing around with the computer for hours, I had a ton of cute pictures, but I'm afraid I'm having technical difficulties :( So, I don't really have anything silly, exciting, or profound to say. I just have to say quickly, that as I reflect on what it must feel like to be a dad, I realize that Dad's work hard, and miss out on a lot, and they don't complain about it, they just put their family first, and the happiness of the whole is what matters. So, thanks Dad! and thanks to Dave for working hard to give me time with Hunter that is irreplaceable! Love you, and hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day!!!

What does Grandpa & Grandma have that I can get into?
This is exciting!!! Now that I can crawl, I can get into everything!
I'm pretty proud of my accomplishment!

Hunter had a great time with his grandparents, and we had a great time by ourselves! We sure missed him, and talked about him often, wondering what he was up to, but it was nice to have some adult time. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for taking Hunter for a sleepover, we really appreciated it, and boy did we need it!!! It looks like from the pictures Hunter is on the move and into everything, we will have to see tomorrow as we picked Hunter up late.

I have to share about motherhood disappointment #2. First, on Tuesday Hunter started crawling while I was at work. Now, Hunter started waving goodbye while he was on his sleepover. Now, there is a great injustice here, when you work on something every day and they begin to do it, when you can't even be there to reap the rewards. Sure, I got to see it later in the day, but it just isn't the same :( His wave is actually quite cute, he shoots his hand up in the air, left hand. There is a lot of room for improvement, but it is definitely what he is trying to do, we will try to capture this on film....of course! Have a great weekend!

What a little Monkey!!! Hunter had a fun outing today with our friends Amy and baby Paige, and our new friends, Georgia and baby Lucas, what a cutie! They really enjoyed themselves and the warm weather, it actually put them all to sleep!

Then it was home for a nap, before Grandpa came to pick up Hunter. Hunter said..."thanks Grandpa and Grandma for watching me so Mom and Dad can enjoy their 5th Anniversary!" Hunter hasn't had a sleepover in four months, so it was welcomed by us, and Grandpa and Grandma couldn't be happier. I'm sure I will have some pictures to prove it!

We are postponing our Anniversary trip because the next few weeks are filled with things to do, and people to see. Like this evening, we saw our niece Ally in her dance recital, she is such a doll! Growing up way too quickly! Then it was off to dinner, Red Lobster, we closed the restaurant, but it was nice to have some time to rest, enjoy each other's company, reflect on this past week with Hunter's surgery, and the past almost 9 months of his life. We are truly fortunate to have so many wonderful things in our life, but mostly we are thankful for the joy Hunter has brought us!!! We hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!

Bye Bye Aunt Mimi! I miss you already!
It was so cute to see Hunter with Aunt Mimi, he was fascinated with her. He played with her hair, stared at her, and laughed at all the fun things she did with him, children have always been drawn to her, I shouldn't be surprised. He will definitely miss out, as it will be months before he sees her again, by then he will be walking! It was great having her here for Hunter's surgery, it took our minds off things before, and after it was just fun as he did so well, and continues to do so!

Hunter is a terror in his walker! He gets going so fast he bangs into everything, and runs over our feet, you can't get out of his way quick enough. The hallway he especially enjoys, I think he thinks it's a race track! He is learning "NO" as a result of his crawling everywhere, and his runs in the walker. He crawls over to anyplace where there are cords, I think he is part Kitty, and the walker he pulls on everything, today he threw another wine bottle on the floor, along with a candy dish...all the candy ended up in his lap (takes after his parents :-) This has been an opportunity to begin teaching him what not to do, you know you are in trouble when you tell him NO firmly and you are met with laughing. Obviously, he doesn't get the concept yet, but it's never to early to begin. Strange luck though, when he is in the living room crawling, and I told him NO, as he was going for the fireplace, he stopped, sat up, looked at me, I said NO again then pointed saying come play with your toys, he remarkably did, I thought it was a fluke but he did that two other times with other areas. Maybe he is catching on, I just hope his first word isn't "NO" :-) Well, thank you again for your comments, and prayers it has been overwhelming the support we have received from our friends! We hope you are having a wonderful week, take care!

We're Home!!! Hunter did so well!!! We arrived and we were first on the surgery schedule. They did a test to see if Hunter had separation anxiety and would need Vercet, a tylenol sedative, prior to the surgery. They carried him away while saying goodbye to us, waving etc. He did not care, so he did not need this extra drug. Which proved to be the ticket for him. If he would have had this drug it would have complicated his recovery. He did well before he went in, sat and played with us, and had his vitals taken, which he thought was quite fun! He went in, and was only in for about 20 minutes, then went to recovery. They warned us that he would scream from the moment we saw him until we hit the car, due to the anesthesia and being in an unfamiliar place without us. Dave and I were prepared for that, and had his bottle because they wanted us to feed him right away. He came wheeling in on the gurney, looking around, not making a peep. Part of me questioned whether they did anything. He took the bottle right away, never grimaced, and we got to see his new tongue pretty quickly. We were only they a short time more, and Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Mimi got to make a visit. We were all shocked how well this went, what an angel!!! Thank you all for your prayers, calls, comments, and genuine concern! What would we do without friends and family like you!!! Love you, Andrea

AUNT MIMI ARRIVES!!!!

What a day! Hunter started crawling!!! Check out his slideshow, for the play by plays. I think in some weird way that is divine intervention! He started crawling which took our mind off of his surgery, and Aunt Mimi got to witness one of his firsts! I was at work when he actually took the first leap, it was hard to miss such an important thing, but Grandma didn't miss a thing with the camera and keeping me updated! Aunt Mimi arrived safely and couldn't believe all of the changes in our baby, who looks like a little boy now :( Great Grandpa and Grandma came over to see Hunter before his surgery and see Amy as they haven't seen her since Christmas. We had so much fun watching Hunter exhaust himself with his new tricks! I keep telling Dad it is time to baby proof, well now it is definitely time! We did some quick shopping to get Hunter a special jammi outfit to wear to the hospital. As you know, I am not one to take him out in public in his jammi's so, we got the whole set, sleeper, blanket, hat and bib, we haven't done that since he was tiny! It brought back good memories, and this way he will be nice and warm if he is shaky when he wakes up. I will talk to you all tomorrow, it is almost one and I have to get up at four, I am going to try to sleep for a few hours. Love you all, thank you for your prayers and positive wishes! A special thank you to my fabulous friends, Wendy, Erin, and Amy! Good friends are hard to find, I am so very lucky!!!

Having a blast with Great Grandpa & Grandma!!! When Hunter gets excited he waves his arms up and down, this is mid-wave :-)

Last night Great G & G called to remind me that I had a work meeting and was supposed to bring Hunter over, good thing because it had left my brain. So, I went to my meeting and Hunter kept Great G & G very entertained with all of his new tricks, and I understand he even tried some Wendy's frosty! We all found it very funny, that he neglected to play with his toys, and opted for the buckles on his diaper bag, and Grandma's zipper on her dress, kind of goofy! Then it was home to get things ready for the next few days, and Hunter's surgery. Aunt Mimi will arrive Tuesday afternoon, she won't believe it when she sees him, he has changed so much. He was sick when she saw him last, well he was sick for almost four months, so she will be relieved to see him so happy and healthy! We will keep you posted, and I will update the blog on Wednesday sometime, to let everyone know how the surgery went. In the past week Dave and I have had a lot of advice, comments, etc. so we appreciate the love and support! It is funny how people are so quick to give advice or say the very things that they hate or would hate people saying to them, like...they do this all the time it will be fine, or my child had surgery at three years old, blah blah blah, at one point today I felt like screaming! We know things will be fine, however, we completely have the right to be worried and concerned as our baby, who has already had so many problems, and is not even 9 months old yet, has to be put to sleep. I apologize for venting, we just appreciate the prayers, positive thoughts, love and support you continue to give us!!! Take care, talk to you tomorrow!
Exciting news in a bad situation...Aunt Mimi is coming to town, from California, for Hunter's surgery!!! It's been months since we've seen her, so there is already something positive coming out of the negative!

Erin, I love Wheatland, I miss Wheatland, and we need to go back and fulfill our commitment!!! For those of you who don't know Wheatland is a weekend in September that Erin introduced me to in college, Erin has gone her whole life, and I didn't miss a year, until the past two, we need to go back, Hunter needs to have a perfect Wheatland record! It's music, camping, food, and lots more fun!!!

Check out our Camping Slide Show!!!

We're back! What a weekend, where to begin? The weather was strange, one minute it was beautiful the next it was freezing cold, well, who am I kidding we do live in Michigan. I was just hoping for really nice because I had adorable camping/fishing outfits for Hunter to wear, he didn't get to wear his new things, he was layer upon layer. All weekend, he raked in the attention for being cute, and keeping his sunglasses on, and for being a good baby, we are truly blessed! He ate processed food for the first time, and surprise..surprise...he love it! Cherry puffs, they melt in his mouth. Dad did a lot of fishing but didn't win any of the tournament categories, maybe the one for getting swarmed with bats :( It was so much fun, there were games, raffles, prizes, awards, the list goes on and on, I am going to have to find who took the pictures of the three of us with our awards. Dave won the Crocodile Hunter, Hunter received the Tadpole award, and I got the award for the new chef, Hashbrown cooker (you wouldn't believe the drama over hashbrowns :) Hunter tried using his award for teething! We were embarrassed though because Hunter was scared of Keri's Aunt Nancy, everytime he saw her he pouted then cried, sometimes accompanied with burying his head in our chests, we think she scared him by laughing loudly when we first got there, and after that he was scared everytime he saw her. We had a bad sleeping night because it was so cold, so we won't be camping again until we get a new camper, better hurry before WHEATLAND! Anyway, fun was had by all, and now we are pooped! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Hunter and Paige enjoying some fun in the sun together!!!

Paige says, "I see you down there, and mom is going to be mad!"

Hunter says, "I love tupperware...don't tell my dad!"

Hunter had a fun day with his friends Amy and Paige, as you can see he made quite a mess for Amy, but apparently he enjoyed himself! It never fails, that even when I take days to pack I always forget something, well today I forgot the worst thing yet, Hunter's formula :( I get the world's worst parent award for the day! Other than that it was a good day, and we are desperately packing for camping and hoping to not forget anything too important. This may be our last posting until Sunday, I will try to post tomorrow, but we will miss you! Have a great weekend!

Wednesday, June 07, 2006

For almost 8 1/2 months, I have had this basket filled with Hunter's toys. Each day I take some toys out and put them on his blanket, then put them away later. For all this time, he never has noticed this basket of fun. Today, I was in the kitchen making his chicken, when I heard quiet, knowing that he had to be up to something if he was quiet, I entered to find him head in the basket throwing his toys out!
He played for hours, scooting and rocking in circles going from one toy to the next, over and over. When he had enough fun doing that, he moved on to teething on the basket :) Hunter says, "Did you check out my haircut? The front gets spiked up, but mom hadn't combed it yet." I look like a big boy!

Hunter had fun taking Hayley to the Vet today, I put him in the backpack, carried the diaper bag in one arm, and the kitty in the other. The people at the Vet were quite amused! Hunter was entertained for over an hour by all of the animals, I think he was even talking to one of them :) Hayley is fine, she had an allergy that turned into a skin infection, antibiotics and steroids and she will be back to normal! I think that combination must run in the family :( Other than that, it was a quiet day running errands and doing chores, Hunter is quite the trooper! Well, we hope your week is going well, love you!

Tuesday, June 06, 2006

Hunter's first drink out of a water fountain, well he did more grabbing of the water than actual drinking, he thought it was pretty fun! It must have felt good because it was so warm, and he was working hard on our walk. Hunter got his third haircut today, it was the first time he has been old enough to realize something was going on. He did not like the vibration of the clippers on his head, Grandma reported, mom was at work. I can't believe how different he looks, he looks like a little boy, not a baby. Kind of sad, but it was well needed, Grandma did a great job, and I am sorry to report that somehow our picture did not reflect his cute hair :( Tomorrow, and tomorrow we have to take one of our kitties to the Vet, Hayley, something is wrong with her that should be an interesting trip, kitty in one arm, Hunter in the other. Well, we hope your week is going well, we are preparing for an exciting weekend...Camping!!! Hunter's first camping/fishing trip. If the weather is nice he has his "first fishing" outfit :) We will be going with our good friend Keri and her family, they are a lot of fun! Talk to you tomorrow!
Look how much I've grown, this was Christmas when Hunter was only 3 months old! Unbelievable, I gave the blog to my boss at work so she could see all the darling pictures of Hunter and Paige together, she commented on how you can really see how Hunter grows and changes from day to day. When I spend every day with him I don't really see the change, so I thought lets see what he looked like a half a year ago, I just can't believe how fast the time is going this felt like yesterday. The other reason it's an old picture, is for the second time in 8 1/2 months, Hunter did not get his picture taken :) I figured out about how many pictures he has had taken, I got my camera for Christmas, this was picture 23, now I am on picture 2572, crazy! Have a good day!

Egg Yolk...I'm not a big fan, can you tell?
Grandpa & Dad planted me a garden that is 1/4 of an acre, now that is Organic!
Grandma & Mom took me shopping, I love the buggy :) Everyone thought I was quite stylish in my Madras Plaid!

Hello, we hope you had a wonderful weekend, it feels like they are rolling around one after the other, the year is already half over, unbelievable. Anyway, we had a busy but fun weekend, this morning Dad and Grandpa played tractors with Hunter, they were a little rough, teaching him to go up ramps (grandpa's arms) and all! Hunter tried the egg yolk, because of allergies you can't give the white until one year, but he won't be eating anymore eggs until then as he didn't like them as you can tell, and that isn't the part that is good for you anyway. He is really liking his banana chunks, tomorrow he will be having cantaloupe chunks. He is trying to pull himself up on anything he can reach, still progressing in the crawling department, and today he opened Grandma's entertainment center, little bugger :) Already into everything! On a different note, we thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers, and ask that you would pray for Grandma Smith because she has not been feeling well, and because of this Hunter has missed out on a lot of time with his other Grandparents, we miss you guys! We hope that everyone is doing well, and enjoying this beautiful weather! We love to hear your comments, keep them coming! Have a wonderful week!!!

Saturday, June 03, 2006

What the heck are you trying to do to me? Hunter thinks, as Mom gave him banana chunks for the first time.
You've gotta be kidding me, he continues. First, she gives me this weird stuff, and then she starts taking more pictures. What am I going to do with her? he ponders.
Never mind, "I love Banana chunks!" Hunter says.

Hello everyone, we hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We are, and full of activity, our life went from doing nothing, to doing everything! It has been so much fun, and continues to be as Hunter is doing more fun new things. He is babbling up a storm, today in the car he was babbling, and we were talking, he must have realized we weren't paying attention to him because all of the sudden, he babbled so loud, as much as to say, Hey remember me! We laughed and so did he. He is flying around the house in his walker, we are already hiding things. Yesterday I had to get a little stearn with him so he knows to stay away from our wine rack, (the bottles are at his level) he looked up at me pouted, and then the tears started flowing. However, he has not gone over to them since, I think it can't be that easy.

He had a fun morning with Grandpa, while Grandma and Mom went to the Breast Cancer Expo. Later, Grandpa taught him how to turn his John Deere Gator into a four wheeler, lets just say Grandma was not to happy. Hunter seemed to enjoy it, but then he enjoys anything that gets him that much attention!!! The best new thing with Hunter is cuddling! The past two days he has been pulling his head into my leg, chest, stomach, anything he can get close to, it just melts my heart! Well, that's it for tonight, take care!

A ring in one hand, the bunny in his mouth, and going for a ring for the other hand. Already a Multi-tasker, must be taking after his Dad!

Hunter had a fun day with his Dad, he spent a lot of time moving his fingers and hand and staring at them, and he took a nice long nap so Dad could get some rest! He started making odd mouth movements when he is eating, almost like a fish, open and close, open and close, he did this for both of us, maybe this means he is ready for a new texture of food? Hunter got to watch his signing show, today we learned the Zoo animals, he thinks Elephant is pretty funny. We tried out a new park tonight on our walk, we can't wait to go again with Dad so Hunter can ride the Crocodiles, another animal we learned to sign. He stayed awake for our whole walk, that is a first. Well, that is about it today, nothing too exciting. Have a great Friday tomorrow!
