Hello everyone! We hope that you had a wonderful Easter and that the warmer temperatures are treating you well! I have had an interesting two months but I'm happy to report that I am feeling better, I thank everyone for their calls, thoughts and prayers! Hunter has been growing by leaps and bounds!!! Not only physically, but mentally and emotionally! He is taller, he is telling stories, talking on the phone, about his dreams, and verbalizing some feelings, my favorite is "frustrated"! He is also a lot more active!

Yesterday we took advantage of the warm weather :) and went to the park to play soccer!

Cousin Kimmy, I think we need lessons!

Can't go to the park without playing on the slide!

Hunter is much more adventurous this year, what a fun summer it is going to be!!!

We've had a lot of germs here at the Smith household! I have pneumonia and Hunter had the flu!!! He started on Friday night, was up most the night, and this was yesterday when he took a record 4 hour nap!!! It was wonderful because I could sleep too!

It was sad though, with the flu he is just so pitiful! His "kitty brother" felt for him to as you can see. He is feeling better today, which means he is back to torturing the poor cat!!! Well, after a week of being completely out of it myself today is the first day I have been able to stay up a little bit. I had a reaction to the cough medicine, so when I stopped taking it yesterday it took a while to feel better, but finally the pain in my head and dizziness is gone. I am going back to the Dr. tomorrow because my breathing hasn't gotten any better, maybe worse :( Thanks, for the calls and support!

Hunter said to me, "mom why you meowing like kitty brother?", as he was laying next to me and could hear my wheezing. I had to share, I thought it was so funny!

Hunter wanted to do a project today. Hunter can spell his name, but he can't identify all of the letters correctly, so we began one I have wanted to do for a while. Miss Carol you will notice I am hopefully writing it correctly now, maybe not :o) I actually had a hard time because my handwriting has adapted over the years to far from the correct way, I have swoops, curves and well I would like to think a lot of personality, but I don't think that will fare well for Hunter to have girly penmanship, it was hard to remember what is the correct way. A few months ago our friend Miss Carol noticed on the blog that I was writing Hunter's name in all capital letters on his projects, it really makes sense that you aren't suppose to do that, but I was thinking it would be easier for him to learn, not thinking he would later have to relearn the right way. Thanks for the tip :)

Before you recycle your old magazines, you could help Hunter with his projects by finding cool images that start with the letters of the alphabet, especially his name. For example, a picture of a hat we would put on the letter H, we had a hard time finding pictures for U and E all we found was a picture of an eraser for E. Plus he loves to get mail!!! Thanks!

We're back....sorry it has been so long. Hunter has been sick, then I got it, I don't normally get sick like this but it really knocked me out. Things are getting better and we are back to our regular schedule, I will try to get back to my regular postings!

A few days ago we met mom's friends Miss Jae and Miss Kathy for lunch, Jae is moving to Arizona and Miss Kathy brought Hunter tons of gifts! This is his new Memory Game which he is surprisingly good at. Hunter has been really bad lately, hitting, pushing and all sorts of things like this (including the dirty face in these pictures, he officially hates his face washed :(). It is understandable to be rebelling at this age but it is still difficult to deal with, punishments seem to not even matter, so I understand that it is a waiting game, and that it is actually good to have a child like this because he is so smart, funny.....it doesn't feel good :) I refuse to give up, tonight we began a new reward system....I will keep you posted.

hmmmm.....

I see it!

I made a match!! Thanks Miss Kathy, I love my new game and all the goodies you gave me!!!!
