Hmmm....let's see what I can get into....

I'll crawl over the dog, onto and over the 4 wheeler.....

over to the train.....

OH! I shouldn't climb the cat tree???

This is honestly how this little guy works, he sits or stops and looks around for a minute then is off to explore. Lately all of the exploration has involved climbing onto, crawling over, getting in, falling out of....you name it, he's tried it! I am getting much better at being that laid back mom, who now realizes he is going to get bruises and he is going to fall, that he has to learn the hard way, so he is busy, busy, busy learning! Today he was really quiet, which is usually a sign that he is not feeling well, other than a runny nose we are fine so far, and he is getting two more teeth so I am praying that is all it is! We hope your week is going well and we will talk to you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday GiGi!!!

Hunter loves birthday parties, he gets ice cream!

Cheese! What a mess ice cream makes!

Hunter began laughing hysterically when we were laughing at him covered with ice cream, he really got into it!

Happy Birthday Grandpa on Monday!!!

See Grandpa, I'm strong!

Hello everyone, as you can tell February is a fun month for us we have lots of Birthday parties!!! Gigi turns 45 today! She is one good looking Great Grandma!!! We are so fortunate to have family, we love all of you whether immediate, in-law, or extended, there is nothing like family! As you can see Hunter had a ball with the ice cream, its fun to let him cut loose every now and then! We almost had an emergency this morning before the party festivities....Hunter always watches a Thomas DVD in the morning, he knows the schedule and he begs for it, this morning we found out our DVD player is broken (too much Thomas) thankfully a week ago I ordered Thomas videos tapes and the mail man brought them about 15 minutes after the devastating fall of the DVD player, the mail man saved the day!!! and my sanity with new Thomas stories!!!!! Talk to you tomorrow with more birthday celebrations!!!

An example of a parenting decision that you later think......hmmm....maybe that wasn't a good idea.

Hello everyone, the weekend is here and a miracle has occurred in my life. I have been praying, wishing, hoping, dreaming about my lost work cell phone, this may not seem like a big deal, but a lost phone will run you $100. Now, you know me and for a hundred dollars I want something to show for it. So, my phone has been officially lost for 2 weeks, and I came home to a huge surprise today, Dave found my phone in the snow! So, you might think well it's found but it's still ruined, well a miracle has occurred! My cell phone sat in a three foot snow drift for 2 weeks, and still works!!!! Hurray!

So, I apologize for this tangent I realize everyone cares about Hunter but this is really a.....are you ready for this grandma.....a monkey off my back!!! Ha Ha! Ok, so on to Hunter. Today at day care he begged to go downstairs saying "baby" we aren't sure why, but it was really upsetting to him, so he had kind of a rough day. Then it was home to play, and we were in his room, when he opened his drawer looked in and said "oh boy". I just about fell on the floor, this is the story of my life...."oh boy"! We have also moved from loving the cats gently to tormenting them by what he thinks is carrying them, but is really him dragging them by the necks. He puts his arms around their bodies and they try to squirm away which leaves his arms around their necks, surprisingly they don't seem to mind. However, we have a close eye on this and it may take a while but we are trying to teach him to be gentle, once again. Other than that, we just have a weekend packed with fun, we have lots of birthday's this weekend! Have a great one and we will keep you posted!

Hunter loves to brush his teeth, and Magnums too!

Hunter apparently had a great day at daycare today, he was "flirting" (as they refer to it) with Miss Karen's niece who is taking Harmonie's spot because she had a baby on Monday, Sasha. Noah is 2 and that is Sasha's older brother, apparently Hunter and Noah were hugging, kissing and playing really cute today. We had a nice dinner at Hunter's favorite restaurant, Red Robin and then it was home and to bed, we will talk to you all tomorrow!

Hunter kicking his Heels up because he is 17 months old today!

He sure has a fascination with Amy's shoes, these were her special new birthday shoes! We did some shopping today and every time he sees shoes in the store he begs to go over to them, a boy after my own heart! Other than that, Hunter learned the sign for "train" today and "why", which of course he doesn't do at the right time but it is pretty funny. Have a great day, talk to you tomorrow!

Just another example of Hunter thinking EVERYTHING is a seat!

Hello there, hope the beginning of your week is proving to be great! Things are good here. Hunter saw a commercial for Sesame Street Live today, and begged "please please" he says it and signs it, and you just can't help but say yes to whatever he is begging for. This now works in reverse, if I want to clean his face for example, I just beg and he gives me a look, a hug and then lets me clean his face. So, needless to say I will be spending my evening looking into tickets, he loves Elmo. Other than that, Hunter said "fish" today, and is cutting another tooth....this will be thirteen. Hunter and I have added craft time to our day, and he is loving the new "twistable" crayons that G & G brought him, this is an invention that every mom should know about!!! The only thing he has been doing with them is occasionally sticking them up his nose, thankfully they haven't gotten stuck and they are long enough just in case, and so far he hasn't tried to stick anything else up his nose. Have a great Tuesday!

Happy One Year Anniversary to the Blog!!!!! What a year it has been, the actual date was the 9th but things have been a little busy around here. When I look back through the year, I just can't get over how things have changed! We have really enjoyed sharing Hunter with you, and we can't thank you all enough for your support! We love you!

Hunter had a sleep over at Grandpa and Grandma's this weekend, as we went to a family wedding. Here is Grandpa reading Hunter a story at bedtime. Hunter is really soaking up the knowledge as he can identify so many things now, and he can say a good number of them as well.

Nothing says Grandpa and Grandma's like the Mickey Mouse pancakes! I think he lost his ears :)

Laying around playing and watching "choo choo", Grandpa and Grandma got Hunter a new Thomas video to enjoy! We are too!

It gets boring riding the gator on flat land, it's time for some bumps in the road!

Peek-a-boo Grandma!

Again, Again, Again!!!

Grandpa and Grandma thought they would take Hunter for a little play fun at McDonald's but he is too young, so some apple dippers did the trick!

So, as you can see Hunter had a great weekend, so did Grandma and Grandpa and so did we! Grandma was a great photographer to document the fun had without mom! We missed our little guy, but it was also really nice to have an adult night out, thank you! That brings us to today, I had a work meeting so Hunter got to spend the morning with Great Grandpa and Grandma. Hunter had a first at their house, he climbed up onto his first real size furniture! Oh boy, that is scary! He showed off his Thomas videos, and kept Grandma and Grandpa running! He sure is a busy little guy! Of course I forgot my camera but thankfully Grandpa was able to document Hunter's new first. It seems like for awhile there were firsts every day, now there are just new words every day, and you can't see those in pictures :( Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for helping me out, Hunter had a GREAT time, we hadn't pulled out of the driveway and he was already sleeping! Well, that is it for tonight, we love you all and hope that you are staying safe and warm in this weather!

Paige, I've missed you!!!!

It's fun playing with you at the mall!

Paige be careful.....

WOW!!! Look at you go!

What a day, rushed around at work all day then hurried to pick up Hunter so we could meet Miss Amy and Paige at the mall. We had dinner which was such a blast, they are far more entertaining than they use to be, Hunter stabbed his food with a real size fork and tried to feed himself that way, and Paige can drink out of a real size cup with straw. Oh boy, if I gave it to Hunter there would be a big big big drink mess!!! Then we did some shopping, lots of sales, we love that! Then it was off to play land where the kids had a ball! I was nervous Hunter kept falling off the back of the slide, and he wouldn't slide down it, and as you can see from the pictures Paige loved it! She didn't hesitate at all, it was adorable! The strangest thing is that normally Hunter is getting into everything, trying to climb in on or around everything, so the fact that he couldn't or wouldn't slide was odd. All week I have been fearing the return of the ear infections as Hunter has been pulling away at them, and so now I am thinking maybe all of the falling is due to his equilibrium being off balance due to another ear infection???? Who knows, I just can't remember the last time he fell and then to fall so many times tonight, we'll see. Anyway thanks ladies for the night of fun!!! and balloons....because of course some child had balloons so Hunter went into a spell of balloons please, please begging, so I ran over to buy the kids some balloons, the cutest thing is that Amy said the little boy who had the balloons offered one to Hunter because he was so upset, how cute is that! Then it was bedtime, which sounds good to me too!!! Night Night!
