We're Home!!! Hunter did so well!!! We arrived and we were first on the surgery schedule. They did a test to see if Hunter had separation anxiety and would need Vercet, a tylenol sedative, prior to the surgery. They carried him away while saying goodbye to us, waving etc. He did not care, so he did not need this extra drug. Which proved to be the ticket for him. If he would have had this drug it would have complicated his recovery. He did well before he went in, sat and played with us, and had his vitals taken, which he thought was quite fun! He went in, and was only in for about 20 minutes, then went to recovery. They warned us that he would scream from the moment we saw him until we hit the car, due to the anesthesia and being in an unfamiliar place without us. Dave and I were prepared for that, and had his bottle because they wanted us to feed him right away. He came wheeling in on the gurney, looking around, not making a peep. Part of me questioned whether they did anything. He took the bottle right away, never grimaced, and we got to see his new tongue pretty quickly. We were only they a short time more, and Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Mimi got to make a visit. We were all shocked how well this went, what an angel!!! Thank you all for your prayers, calls, comments, and genuine concern! What would we do without friends and family like you!!! Love you, Andrea

Such a relief! So glad to hear that everything went smoothly and the little guy is already on the road to recovery.
